Welcome to Bespoke Baking by Daniѐle (me)
The first memory I have of cake from my childhood was a cake made for me by my mother; it was my third birthday and the cake was two bunny rabbits in bed with their slippers at the side of the beds. I loved it so much, I just couldn’t take my eyes off it. Even now I remember how magical I thought it was.
The reason for my memory is to try and explain to you why it is that I make cakes and what it is that drives me; I want to produce cakes for people that give them that same feeling of excitement and magic – something to remember.
In most cases when I talk to people about cake the most important thing for them is to have a centre piece to their event, and that’s what I endeavour to do.
Whether you have an exact idea about what you want or just no clue at all, I can hopefully make a cake that will suit the occasion and bring together ideas and inspiration from you and me.
Things you may want to know
I do not make undecorated wedding or birthday cakes.
I try to help each customer on an individual basis, where possible creating a design and making a cake that is completely unique to them as much as their request allows.
I am a registered sole trader, working from a purpose built workshop at home (I do not accept business related visits or enquiries at my home).
I hold a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and am registered with the Environmental Health department in Birmingham.
I produce cakes, using high quality ingredients.
I do not mass produce cakes so a lot of time, effort and especially love go into each of my cakes. This is reflected in my prices, which are competetive with other similar bespoke producers of cakes.
